One gloomy Mothers Day early in the 21st Century a woman, her husband and her youngest son went out for the usual Mothers Day lunch. Lovely as it was the woman was yearning- yes, yearning, for something a little bit more memorable and unusual. So it was that the (somewhat bored) family ventured forth to a nearby craft centre and entirely by chance came upon a clay café. Even though the word ‘studio’ struck fear and horror into their hearts the mother, suddenly emboldened, forced them inside. One and a half hours later the family, previously clueless about all things artistic, emerged relaxed, happy and strangely excited by their fascinating experience. Indeed, they had unleashed their  "creative streak".
After undertaking intensive training courses and becoming seriously obsessed with pottery painting - was formed.

is a mobile pottery painting service based in Sutton Coldfield. You can hold your Paint Your Own Pottery Party or event in your own home, school, office, groups, meeting place or any venue of your choice. We also hold regular sessions at small private studios and various community buildings.

Meet Wormy!
Wormy is the first ever masterpiece painted by Potsman Pat and you will see our wiggly little friend on our web pages, literature and vans.

Potsman Pat is our Events Organiser and takes care of most of the glazing and firing.

Gigi, of Gigi Handmade, is our resident Art Director and makes ceramic gifts and artworks.

The Crew are the Potsmen. This happy band of guys and gals are trained to advise and assist you so that you get the most out of your Paint Your Own Pottery experience.

We provide plain, unglazed ceramic items, and the inspiration, paint and equipment that will enable you to transform them into your own unique masterpieces. We will glaze and fire them for you creating lasting ceramic treasures.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, pottery painting is great fun, simple, very creative and relaxing.

We cater for events of all types: from children’s parties to Hen Nights, social chill out sessions, corporate Team Building Days and treats.
